Spoiler alert: There will be no cliffhangers, no new characters introduced, and no shocking revelations. Sorry!
It’s New Year’s Eve and I’m going to assume you have better things to do than read a blog about dementia prevention. So this will be short.
I just want to thank you for joining me on my journey. What began a year ago as an effort to document an inexorable march toward cognitive decline and possible dementia has miraculously morphed into a hopeful cookbook of recipes for maintaining one’s wits at any age. I did not write that into the script at the outset…it just happened. All I did was follow paths that looked interesting…and here we are!
If you are enjoying yourself, I hope you will consider telling your friends about the blog. Binge reading Season 1 might help get them through a couple of long, cold winter nights.

Finally, two housekeeping items:
1. Next week, I’ll begin Season 2, so I revised the way I number the posts and from now on I’ll refer to each one as an ‘episode.’ This post, for example, would have been number 51, but as you can see, in the new system, it’s Season 1 Episode 51, or S1E51. Next week’s post will be S2E1.
2. I’ve gone through all of the episodes and tagged them with category names. You’ll see them in the line underneath the ‘subscribe’ block at the end of every episode. It cross-references posts so that if you just want to read about a particular topic, you can click on that category and scroll through all the related posts. Please let me know if you find it useful. I hope so!
And with that, I’ll let you get on with your merry-making.
Wishing you a safe and healthy 2022. May your errors be few and your memory be long!

Have a happy, healthy and joyous New Year. Here’s hoping that 2022 brings light and the end of this prolonged emergency tunnel!! All the best to you and Sally! XXX, Cols
